Amanda Merrick-Tompkins

Amanda Merrick-Tompkins is a native of Moosic, Pennsylvania, whose passion for dance began at age 3. Over 20 years, she trained in Ballet/Pointe, Jazz, Broadway styles, Tap, Contemporary, and more.



She continued her dance journey at Wilkes University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Early Childhood and Special Education, along with minors in Dance and Reading. While at Wilkes, she was a member of the Dance Team for 3 years, serving as captain for 2. Amanda also performed with the Wilkes Conservatory under the direction of Kristin Degnan-Boonin. She was honored as the 2024 recipient of the Outstanding Achievement in Dance Performance Award from Lynne Esgro.



Amanda has performed in productions such as The Nutcracker, Faculty Dance Concerts, and the musical Chicago, and has also choreographed for the Student Choreographer Concert.



She continues her passion for dance as a member of Symmetry’s Adult Company and is excited to share her love of dance while inspiring confidence in dancers of all ages and abilities.
